National Volunteer Week 2024

April 20th, 2024

CELEBRATING NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK 2024

Dear Volunteers,

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, I would like to extend my appreciation to each of you for your steadfast dedication, incredible enthusiasm, and outstanding support as Navy League of Canada volunteers!

Whether it is by organizing events, mentoring youth, leading or instructing, supporting fundraising efforts, doing projects behind the scenes to enhance our two youth programs, or helping out in the community, your generosity makes the Navy League of Canada stronger and your time, energy and talents are making a difference in the lives of close to 10,000 Navy League and Sea cadets in over 220 Canadian communities. Your actions exemplify the values of service, compassion, and community that lie at the heart of the Navy League of Canada, and you are examples to those we lead and support.

The 2024 theme for National Volunteer Week “Every Moment Matters” highlights the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make, especially at this time when we need volunteer support more than ever. The sharing of time, skills, empathy, and creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, and well-being of our communities and our support to Navy League Cadet and Sea Cadet Corps across Canada!

It is often said that volunteers are the backbone of any organization, and nowhere is that truer than here in our Navy League community.

Your dedication ensures that we can continue our vital work, empowering young people, promoting maritime awareness, and building stronger communities. By coming together, committing support, and increasing our collective efforts and impact, we contribute exponentially to the quality of life we all strive for and the success of and positive impact of the Navy League Cadet and Royal Canadian Sea Cadet programs and community engagement!

Please extend and share my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of our amazing volunteers! Every Moment Matters and we could not accomplish all that we do without you stepping up to volunteer at the local, provincial, and national levels! Our actions are making a real difference in the lives of many and a brighter future for generations to come.

Your contributions are truly appreciated, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support and dedication.

Cheers to our outstanding Volunteers, not only on this National Volunteer Week but every week!
